Lindsey Carnett

Lindsey Carnett was introduced to kidSTREAM through her niece’s birthday party where her two young daughters had a blast exploring and learning. As an accomplished businesswoman, author, speaker, educator, experienced board director and professional advisor to global businesses, Lindsey wants all children to have the opportunity to learn and grow. Especially as a mother of two daughters, she is an advocate for women in STEM. As a Barnes and Noble bestselling author, daughter of a reading specialist and granddaughter of a librarian, Lindsey also has a passion for literacy. She is a Celebrity Reader for the First 5 California National Read Across America Day, reading in both English and Spanish in low-income areas in Ventura County.

Lindsey also serves as Vice Chair on the Executive Committee for the West Ventura County Business Alliance (WVCBA), board director for the California Lutheran University Community Leaders Association (CLU-CLA) and board director for St. John’s Healthcare Foundation. Past board director experience includes Women in Sports and Events (WISE), National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Electronic Retailing Association (ERA) and Vice Chairman of California Lutheran University’s Victory Club.

Outside of Lindsey’s board and advisory work, she is committed to growing businesses and advancing organizations through her bicoastal, award-winning integrated marketing and PR agency, Marketing Maven, headquartered in Camarillo. Recognized for market research, PR and digital marketing, Marketing Maven has been named twice to the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America List and named “Most Entrepreneurial Company in America” by Entrepreneur Magazine’s Entrepreneur 360 Awards.

A NCAA collegiate women’s soccer captain and officer in the American Marketing Association, Carnett received her B.A. degree from California Lutheran University in Spanish and Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising. Her business certifications include WBE, WOSB, DBE, CPUC, Metro and WBENC.
