kidSTREAM Welcomes Shahrzad Ehya as Operations Director

CAMARILLO, California, July 23, 2024 - kidSTREAM Children’s Museum is excited to announce the addition of an experienced leader, with the appointment of Shahrzad Ehya as the new Director of Operations. With over two decades of expertise in sales and marketing, business management, and leadership, Shahrzad is dedicated to crafting educational experiences for children.

Previously the founder and director of Hideout Indoor Playground, an innovative business concept for an indoor playground for children, she successfully led business development, community engagement, events management, and sales & marketing. She oversaw end-to-end event planning, developed cost-effective party/event packages, and monitored financial activities to improve profitability. Over four years, she delivered over 500 customized birthday parties and seasonal gatherings, supervised and mentored staff, formed partnerships with local businesses, and participated in community events and fundraising.

Shahrzad holds a Bachelor of Arts from California State University Long Beach, and has lived and worked abroad, learning from and building connections with families from around the world. She is passionate about leveraging her skills to help kidSTREAM achieve its mission of providing interactive, educational, and memorable experiences.

"We are thrilled to welcome Shahrzad to the kidSTREAM team,” said Michael Shanklin, Executive Director of kidSTREAM. “As a local business leader who was an advocate and supporter of kidSTREAM from the very beginning, she brings a wealth of experience and will utilize her understanding of Ventura County to help us create an incredible experience that will educate and inspire the children and families of our community.

With a planned mix of indoor and outdoor exhibits and programming focused on science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and math, kidSTREAM Children’s Museum will bring increased access to hands-on, interactive learning that inspire and prompt curiosity to over 200,000 children growing up in Ventura County.

"Momentum continues to build, and the support from our community has been instrumental in this journey, we cannot thank them enough," added Shanklin. "Please join me in welcoming Shahrzad Ehya to the kidSTREAM family, and celebrating the continued progress we are making together."
